Competition Authority and Competition Commission bid Thula Kaira Farewell

The Competition Authority and Competition Commission bid farewell to the founding Chief Executive Officer of the Competition Authority last night (21^st April 2016) at a ceremony held at Masa Square Hotel.

Speakers at the ceremony who included the Honourable Assistant Minister of Investment Trade and Industry Advocate Sadique Kebonang, and the Chairperson of the Competition Commission Dr. Onkemetse Tshosa, described Mr. Kaira as a humble person who is well versed in competition issues. Hon. Kebonang said Mr. Kaira started the CA from scratch into a reputable organisation.

The farewell ceremony was attended by among others officials from the Ministry and heads of its parastatals, former Competition Commissioners and former staff of the CA and representatives from media houses. Mr. Kaira left the Authority’s employ on 15^th April after five years at the helm.
