CA Cancels Public Hearing on the Proposed Acquisition of 28.73% Shareholding in Mmegi Investment Holdings by Universal House

The scheduled public hearing by the Competition Authority that was to be held on 20th February 2017 in relation to the proposed transaction involving the intention by Universal House (Pty) Ltd to acquire 28.73% interest in Mmegi Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd has been cancelled.

Having reviewed the submissions made as well as additional information revealed by the Authority’s investigations on the matter, the Authority has seen it fit to not go ahead with the planned public hearing.

The public is therefore informed that the public hearing on the above mentioned transaction has been cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused.
