Competition and Consumer Authority Festive Season Closure 2019/20

The Competition and Consumer Authority (CCA) offices will be closed for the Christmas and New Year Holidays from Monday 23rd December 2019. The Authority will reopen for normal business on Monday 6thJanuary 2020 at 8am.

However, due to the nature of Consumer Protection operations that involve receiving complaints from the public, which complaints tend to rise during the festive season, there will be skeletal staff remaining during the holidays between 23rd December 2019 and 3rd January 2020.

Skeletal staff will remain at the CCA Head Office at Plot 28, Matsitama Road, Main Mall in Gaborone, (behind the South African High Commission); and in CCA offices in Kanye, Jwaneng, Tsabong, Hukuntsi, Ghantsi, Maun, Kasane, Francistown, Serowe and Selebi-Phikwe.

The public is further informed that the Consumer Protection Unit in Gaborone has moved from the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry to the CCA Head Office.
